Background
Casper Voyles, PhD, MPH (he/him) is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Over the past 15 years, he has centered his work around the health of LGBTQ+ youth and young adults; his work is informed by his training and expertise in child and human development, partnership development, and community health promotion. Inspiration for his research on LGBTQ+ sports participation stems from his athletic background in ice hockey, track and field, and roller derby. Dr. Voyles received a PhD in Community Health and Prevention and a Master of Public Health from Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to his public health training, he received a B.A. from Colby College in Waterville, ME with a double major in Psychology and Russian Language & Culture.
