Background

Casey D. Xavier Hall, PhD, MPH (he/him) is Assistant Director of the Center of Population Sciences for Health Empowerment at the Florida State University College of Nursing. Dr. Xavier Hall’s mixed-method research addresses violence, mental health and sexual health in LGBTQIA+ populations across the lifespan both in the U.S. and internationally. He is contact PI for one of the first R01s to be focused on bisexual health and has been PI & MPI on 3 FDA grants focused on diversifying clinical trials. He is also a recipient of the GLMA Lesbian Health Fund. He was the keynote speaker for FDA pride month 2024 and organized a summit between the FDA commissioner and LGBTQIA+ community leaders in June 2024. He has a growing expertise in aging among LGBTQIA+ populations and is a current scholar in the Sustained Training in Aging & HIV Research Program and an alumn of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care HIV & Aging Scholars Program. He has served on two national committees including the FDA Racial and Ethnic Minority Acceleration Consortium for Health Equity.
